There are definitely a couple schools of thought on this one. Tim Ferriss, author of
The Four Hour Workweek and other best-sellers, outlines a plan to take as little as possible with you. Ferriss also advocates trips that span at least a month and rely on you purchasing needs while traveling, rather than carrying them with you. You can read his article on the subject
